The Arc'teryx LEAF Assault Shirt AR Gen 2 in black has undergone some useful changes in the update. It now impresses with even more functional details for tactical use. The most obvious change here was the layout, where the collar was upgraded in this second generation with a ¼ zip on the stand-up collar. When used with a plate carrier, this small change has a big impact and can be improved a lot, especially in terms of heat and moisture regulation. The zipper is not covered, but is protected from accidental opening with a zipper garage. The cuffs, which were still provided with a button in the first version, are now adjusted with Velcro fasteners.

The new layout of the pockets results in a flatter profile: the upper arm pockets no longer have covered zippers, but zipper garages. Material savings and a slimmer profile, but also better access to the pockets even when used with a plate carrier is now possible. New are the V-Lite connection points made of nylon material, which replace the plastic connection points.

In terms of material, the Combat Shirt is, as usual, made up of two different areas that were developed depending on the use: The torso part is made of a cotton-nylon mix that ensures heat and moisture management under a plate carrier. The sleeves are made of a heavy-duty no melt / no drip cotton ripstop material. Mesh inserts under the armpits ensure sufficient air movement.
